Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

We understand that plans change. Our policy is designed to be fair to both our guests and our small team, while ensuring we can continue to provide the premium sunrise experience you expect from Moraine Lake Sunrise Shuttle & Tours.
Book with Confidence
Plans change — we get it. While refunds require 7 days' notice, you can reschedule your sunrise tour to any available date up to 48 hours before departure, absolutely free. Your Moraine Lake moment is waiting.

Private Charters
Private and custom whole-vehicle charters of any group size. Public group bookings are not automatically private charters.

This is a seven-calendar-day office cutoff, not a rolling 168-hour calculation. A request is received when its written email, customer-portal submission, or other approved written booking channel is timestamped by the deadline. A phone call or voicemail does not change or cancel a charter unless the request is also confirmed through an approved written channel.
Material booking changes include the tour date, departure time, itinerary, pickup arrangements, duration, guest count, and purchased inclusions. Contact corrections and required safety, accessibility, dietary, or child-seat information are not material booking changes and remain permitted.
Photography Workshop Add-On
Photography workshops follow the same cancellation terms as the tour they are paired with. If the photography workshop is cancelled by RMPA Ltd. for safety reasons (e.g., wildlife activity, extreme weather), a full workshop refund will be issued with no cancellation fees applied.
We Operate Rain, Snow, Smoke, or Shine
Mountain weather in the Canadian Rockies is notoriously unpredictable. Conditions at Moraine Lake often differ significantly from other areas, and forecasts more than 12 hours in advance are unreliable. Customer-initiated cancellations due to weather conditions are not accepted.
Operator-Initiated Cancellations
In rare cases, we may cancel a tour for safety reasons:
- Road closures (Parks Canada or RCMP decision)
- Extreme weather making travel unsafe
- Visibility conditions preventing safe driving
If We Cancel
You will receive a full refund to your original payment method, OR the option to reschedule to any available date at no additional cost. We will notify you as soon as possible via the contact information on your booking.
No-Show Policy
Guests must be at their pickup location at least 5 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Our early-morning departures are timed precisely for sunrise — we cannot wait for late guests without impacting the experience for others.
Late arrivals and no-shows are not eligible for refunds or rescheduling.
Refund Processing
- Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days
- Administrative fees are non-refundable once deducted
- For qualifying private-charter cancellations, the standard deduction is exactly CAD $157.50 per charter; no per-guest cancellation fee is added
